Free Tax Preparation Service!
MCDC prepares and files tax returns free-of-charge for families and individuals with incomes less than $50,000. Call volumes are especially high this year, so we would appreciate your patience as we return all calls and messages within five days.
MCDC prepares federal and state returns for 2020, prior years, and amended returns under the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program of the Internal Revenue Service. Taxpayers will have the option this year to drop-off your tax documents by appointment at our office in Marlborough or to provide them through a secure electronic file sharing system. Our IRS-certified tax preparers and reviewers will then prepare your tax return and review them with you by phone or Zoom call.
If you would like to prepare your own 2020 returns instead, MCDC can provide you with a link to IRS-sponsored software which you can use at no charge. Our tax preparers are available by appointment to consult with you by phone or videoconference as you prepare your taxes.
